How do we go about booking 52nd Street?

Simply fill out the booking form or contact us directly via our contact page. If we are available on your date we will send showcase dates and pricing information. Then come along to our showcase and if you like what you see (which we know you will), let us know what package you are interested in and we will give you a quote. We look after all bookings ourselves and will liaise with you every step of the way. For us, the quality of our service is just as important as the quality of our music.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes we require a deposit to secure your booking. Once we receive the deposit, your date is secured and we are all yours. We even start gathering some information at this stage and we are available any time for a chat about any ideas or questions you may have.

When do we make contact before the big day?

We will be in touch with you 4 – 6 weeks beforehand to go through everything and finalise all details including your first dance etc. We have a questionnaire we like to go through to make sure everything is in place. We don’t just get up and play, we like to know a little more about you and your guests, the songs and style of music you like, and any other snippets of information that will give us a closer connection to everyone on the night.

Will you play our first dance?

Yes we would be delighted to perform your first dance live. If it’s a song we haven’t played before we’ll learn it specially for you, or if you prefer the original recording, we will play it through our PA system.

Can we pick songs we like?

Absolutely. Let us know if there are songs you absolutely love or any songs that are absolute no no’s! We will try to incorporate them in our set, however, we do ask you to leave the overall set list to us. Our main goal is to have your guests hopping on the dancefloor and we know what works. You would be surprised that some songs you might not generally listen to, can be real bangers at a wedding.

How long do 52nd Street play for?

We play for three hours with a short break when evening refreshments are served. We arrive at your venue before dinner and speeches have finished, and once we gain access to the room it takes approx. 40 mins to set up. We always check in with the best man throughout the evening to make sure everything is running smoothly.

When do we pay the remaining balance?

The remaining balance is paid on the night either before we start or during the interval.

Do 52nd Street provide DJ?

Yes. Along with Fully Live Band, we provide Professional DJ Service ensuring the changeover on the night is seamless.

Can 52nd Street supply music for the Drinks Reception and Ceremony?

Yes. Whatever you need, we have you covered. We have various packages available that can be tailored to suit your requirements including music for your Ceremony, Drinks Reception, and we even have options for your Day 2 party/ BBQ.

Will the band I book be the band I get on the night?

Absolutely. 52^nd Street are a professional band with our own unique dynamic sound, and we pride ourselves on being an authentic group. We are not a band who send out multiple line ups to different events. We are members of The Wedding Band Association, One Band, One Wedding. On the rare occasion that one of our members cant make it due to illness we have dep musicians lined up who know our set list inside out, and can easily step in.

What instruments do you play and what is the line up?

52^nd Street are a completely live band with piano / keys / electric guitar / bass and drums and a live brass section (sax and trumpet) as optional. Not only are all members accomplished musicians, but we are all singers too, which gives us our unique sound.

Can we be sure the band wont be too loud?

We are very conscious of volume levels and we organise our sound in such a way that it is directed towards the dance floor. We know that early in the evening some guests like to chat comfortably without having to shout, but as the night goes on and the party gets into full swing, they’re usually the ones on the dance floor screaming for more!

Where did you get your name?

“52nd Street” is a special place, the area of Manhattan where the cream of the city’s live session musicians would hang out. The very best of live music was performed in the many clubs and venues that lined the famous street.

The coming together of some of the finest musicians and performers where they shared and honed the craft they loved. Need we say anymore!!!
